Week 6 update
Week 6??? What? I can not believe that I am approaching the end of week 6 in training! I am proud of myself because I have kept pretty strict to the schedule. I get up early before work and run. It has gotten to the point that if I don't run I feel guilty! What? It just makes my day run so much more smoothly. I really do love it. Last week I ran 7 miles and was proud of that because it was hard but I have made up my mind that I am going to do this so I am sticking with it! One frustration? I thought I would be losing weight super fast because of how much I am running. Nope, only lost 2 pounds. So if any of you runners out there have any diet advice please let me know! I am determined though. I will keep at it!!

Yay! I'm so glad you are loving it! It's so addicting!
My friend in your ward totally knows who you are, and she said she would pick you up ANYtime you want to come and run with us! (She also said you have the cutest boy!!)
Congrats on your progress! I'm way happy for you! Keep it up!
Mitch told Jared about your blog, I hope it's ok I've been checking it out. That is so awesome you are doing the half marathon. The PF Chang's one is super fun too. I've ran it twice and had a blast both times. This year Jared and I are doing the Turkey Trot(it's a 10k) and then the London's Run hald marathon in January. The best asvice I have is to have a running partner that keeps you motivated! Oh and I track my workouts and my calories on the dailyplate.com. It really helps me stay focused on what I'm putting into my body instead of saying I can eat that because I ran 5 miles today. Good Luck with your training!!!! Check out our blog anytime. jaredandkatieorgan.blogspot.com
jeez, I just read my comment. I really can spell I just didn't proofread!
Elise! Hey! We miss you! I didn't even know you moved until Noelee told me -- well that must have been over the summer. Yikes, time flies.
Anyway, I'm so proud of you that you are running! I'm starting up our running club soon since Erin is due in Jan.
Key is to always push yourself right at the end. Always, always. I makes you faster and gives your heart that extra boost that it needs for cardio training.
As far as weight loss, it took Erin and I a month before we saw results - and we were running every day. So don't get discouraged. It will all of a sudden just melt off (at least that's what we noticed).
Eating, it's important to eat well in the morning, good for lunch and meager for dinner. Keep a mental or physical log of when you are eating. If it's more towards the afternoon/evening, try to eat more for breakfast and lunch. Naturally, you'll probably start to cut the junk food. Eat healthy snacks that are good for your workouts. And try to cut the sugar.
It's pretty easy but can be so hard! Especially during the Holidays.
Good luck!
Great job!!!!!!!! You look so skinny in those wedding photos. You have nothing to worry about!!!!!!!!!!
I've got nothin'! I just trained for and did my half marathon and didn't lose a single pound!
Hey - my friend Maddy and I (the one in my blog post about my half marathon - don't laugh - I am slow) anyway, we are hosting a thanksgiving run called "The Gobble Wobble" - let me know if you want info. Chris and Wendi maroney in our ward are also helping to plan it.
PS - we are still looking for a house!
You look like you've lost quite a bit more. You look fabulous!
